Q: You definitely know how defining and important a “topper” is. Tell us, what is your most favorite topper for a Christmas tree?
Amina Marie: For me a "topper" is all about balance. I'm also a sucker for tradition, so on my tree I have a star that glows.
 
Q: Minimalist or No-Such-Thing-As-Too-Much? How do you like to get dressed for Holiday parties?
Amina Marie: I would say I am definitely more in the minimalist department with dressing… until you get to the hat. I most always wear classic cocktail dresses in solid colors, but I really love to have fun with accessories on my head. I know this must be shocking right?? A hat-maker who loves hats! I dare you to try it!
  
Q: You can leave your hat on…. When someone wears one of your creations, is there a certain time or an unwritten rule as to when the hat should stay on or come off?
Amina Marie: For women, I really feel like hats should be left on, unless it’s blocking someone's view (theatre event). What's the fun of wearing a fabulous hat if you are just going to take it off? So keep your hat on and enjoy the compliments!

Q: What is your most favorite item to have monogrammed? 
Andrea:  I mean, I literally like anything monogrammed!  But most importantly are my sheets, my towels, my kids’ school bags, my beach bag! I also like when my husband has small initials in his shirts. 
  
Q: Not a creature was stirring… Where will you and your family be spending the night before Christmas?
Andrea: I am from the north of Spain, from Oviedo, and we all gather there for Christmas Eve. With my family, we are over 25 people. My family is like the UN — the family flies from all over the world, from Spain, Italy, Germany, London, US, Venezuela and India! 
 
Q: And, last but not least, yes or no… Monogrammed bikini?
Andrea: Why not!

Meet Megan Thornberry and Molly Maxwell, the owners and creative force behind HOOPLA, one of the best places we have ever found for manis, pedis, waxing, massages… The perfect spot to get holiday-ready and to make our spirits bright! 

Q: Bold and bright or shiny and metallic…Favorite way to polish your nails for the holidays? 
Molly:  I'm unabashedly shiny and metallic for the holidays!  Life is too short to celebrate in neutral.
Megan: I tend to lean towards bold and deep - not traditional though, more navy or dark red.

Fingers or toes… if you had to choose, mani or pedi? 
Molly: The holiday season involves so many social gatherings, and even if I start to feel bogged down, it always makes me feel put together to have a fresh mani.  My outfit may be a disaster, but at least my nails look good!
Megan: For the actual holiday, a pedi is a must for me. We are in our jammies most of the day and my toes must be done. Nothing spoils a Christmas morning more than un-finished-feet!
 
Q: Jimmy Stewart or Clark Griswold… favorite Holiday-movie “dad?” 
Molly: Clark. Nothing like the big, ol' station wagon and singing the carols with the fam.
Megan: Jimmy. I love that voice and his wonderful realization of true Christmas spirit.
 
Q: Should “old acquaintance be forgot…” what is one nail polish trend or color that you wish could be “forgot?” 
Molly: I remember back in the 1980s, there were nail art attempts at replicating the Rubik's Cube on a mani.  I'm all for nail art, but that was a little much, even for me.
Megan: The super long and pointy nail!  I prefer short to mid-length nails with a soft rounded to square - squoval - curve.
